  1. Packages:
    • Customs declarations CN 23 in English or French
  2. Letters containing goods and packets:
    • Customs Declaration CN 22 either in English or French;
      if the value of the goods exceeds 300 SDRs:
    • Customs declarations CN 23 either in English or French


Unless misuse is suspected, the customs authorities disclaim the requirement to submit an invoice for non-commercial mail.

Certificate(s) of origin: 

Origin must be evidenced by means of a certificate of origin for products exchanged at a preferential rate of duty under agreements between the Central African Customs and Economic Union and various countries.


There is a standard tax. The Customs Administration may subject small shipments addressed to private individuals to a lump-sum tax if such shipments are:
- occasional shipments;
- only goods for personal or family use

The goods recipient charges a presentation fee.
