  1. Packages:
    • Customs declarations CN 23 in English
  2. Letters containing goods and packets:
    • Customs Declaration CN 22 in English;
      if the value of the goods exceeds 300 SDRs:
    • Customs declarations CN 23 in English


Must be sent to the recipient separately. They must be issued in accordance with the customs regulations and bear a certificate of value.

Certificate(s) of origin: 

and other documents need not be attached to the goods. If such documents are requested, they must be obtained from the sender and sent to the recipient.

Import licence(s):

Required, except for:

  1. Gifts whose value does not exceed 40 New Zealand Dollars
  2. goods of any kind imported by post, the value of which does not exceed 20 New Zealand Dollars and are intended for the personal use of the recipient and not for sale, trade or use in the business, profession or profession of the importer.
